We had the privilege of celebrating Mica’s 32nd birthday at Tranquilisle, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. The entire staff made us feel incredibly welcome, especially Sathees, who went above and beyond to make the occasion special. They prepared a beautiful surprise with bouquets, flowers in the room, a lovely ambient setup with relaxing music, and even a birthday pudding for dinner. It was such a thoughtful and heartwarming gesture.
We honestly don’t have enough words to fully express how grateful we are for everything they did for us.
The lodge itself is amazing. The décor is tasteful and carefully curated, the layout of the spaces is thoughtfully designed, and there is a deep sense of peace and tranquility throughout the property. It allowed us to truly connect with the beauty of the Kandy highlands in a very special way.

I recently stayed at Tranquil Isle with my wife for our honeymoon and the stay was really pleasant, actually more than we expected. When booking the place manager was very helpful and kind. The welcome was really good and the Sathees who worked there was very welcoming and gave us a good hospitality.
Food was surprisingly good and fresh. As we stayed as full board we had to experience all the meals and every meal was really good. For lunch we were served with Sri Lankan traditional rice and curry, and that's really good and we were craving for something like that after the long drive we had. It includes Sri Lankan Kiri kos and many more varieties of dishes. For dinner we had pol rotti with chicken curry, dhal and pol sambol. Actually we only had to choose two dishes, yet they served us with another additional dish. For breakfast we had string hoppers and they served us with a fresh fruit platter for the dessert. We had ice cream as well and that's also good. The morning tea next day surprisingly had hint of cinnamon and it's really refreshing.
Room was nice as well. We had a private jacuzzi and they were provided a bath bomb as well. Room was very clean tidy and cozy. Atmosphere was really good as well and the common area had few board games to play with and books to read. Pool area is very calm and quiet with clean water.
Overall we are so satisfied with our stay at Tranquil Isle. Food, hospital and atmosphere was more than we expected.
PS: They are dog friendly and they have an EV charger as well.

My stay at Tranquilisle was truly unforgettable. From the moment I arrived, I was surrounded by a serene ambiance and top-notch hospitality. The villa provided the perfect blend of luxury and tranquility, with beautifully designed interiors. A special highlight was the candlelight dinner, thoughtfully arranged for us, with each meal beautifully served, making every dining experience special. The campfire added to the warmth of our stay, creating an enjoyable and cozy atmosphere. The jacuzzi experience was nothing short of amazing—relaxing in warm bubbles while admiring the stunning view through the glass top was pure bliss. I would also like to extend my sincere gratitude to the caretaker, Satheesh, whose attentive service and hospitality made the stay even more comfortable. Tranquilisle is a true haven for relaxation, and I can't wait to return!

We had our last night in Sri Lanka here and it was amazing. Beautiful, quiet setting with trees/bush all around.
The villa was exceptional and the staff were very hospitable. No issue arranging tuk tuks for travel and provided some recommendations regarding the Pekoe Trail. Food was outstanding and staff met any request. Loved the stay and would definitely go back!

Stayed here for 2 nights and it was simply amazing experience.. what a place it is on the lap of nature with full luxury. there is something for everyone there and trust me you will think to extend the stay. Food was super delicious keep checking the requirements what we need. Pool is there if you want to heat it need to inform early. Wifi Netflix everything they have there. Enjoy food or drinks with bonfire in the middle of jungle.

☺Die Unterkunft ist sehr geschmackvoll und schön eingerichtet in einer ruhigen Lage - fernab des Trubels von Kandy.
Wer sich entspannen möchte und wandern gehen will, ist hier genau richtig aufgehoben.
Das Essen war immer sehr abwechslungsreich und gut. Wir hatten eine wirklich schöne Zeit.
☹Die Lage ist wirklich sehr abgeschieden und liegt mit dem TukTuk gute 40 Minuten entfernt von Kandy.
Anfangs hat uns das etwas gestört, es stellte sich aber raus, dass es kein Problem war, wir gut weg kamen und am Ende die Ruhe abseits vom Trubel genossen haben.

☺ This villa will fit to those, who want to escape from noisy and crowded places to nature but live in comfort at the same time. The villa is located almost 1-hour drive from Kandy and about 1-hour from Royal Botanic Garden (strongly recommend to visit), you can reach there by Tuk Tuk, watching unbelievable views of mountains when riding at mount serpentines. There is local waterfall nearby you can visit and swim, water is quite warm and there are no tourists.
We have enjoined staying at this villa.

☺Очень понравилась вилла. Природа просто потрясающая, умиротворяющая. На вилле всё по домашнему, уютно и комфортно, сделано с душой. Парень Сатис был рад откликнуться на любую нашу просьбу, был внимательным. Хозяин виллы очень гостеприимно каждый раз интересовался, всё ли у нас в порядке и ничего ли нам не нужно. Мы наслаждались природой, окрестными потрясающими пейзажами, пением птиц, приятной горной прохладой, купанием в бассейне, эстетичным внешним видом виллы, гармонично вписанной в естественную окружающую среду. По совету Сатиса съездили на местный водопад, где мы купались одни, нам предоставили тук-тук доехать до «королевского ботанического сада» и в Канди, свозили нас на пешеходную тропу Pekoe trail. Правда иногда было сложно объясниться с водителем.
Нужно не забывать, что находишься, всё таки на природе и вполне естественно могут приползти какие то «незванные гости», но нас это особенно не беспокоило, насекомых здесь в принцепе мало, мы были в марте комаров почти нет и отель нам предоставил средства от насекомых. Пребывание нам очень понравилось, телефон с камерой не хотелось выпускать из рук. Настолько здесь красиво.
☹Еще совет для тех, кто будет ехать из Канди, мы ехали с ж.д. вокзала и услуга Пик ми и Убер из таких мест не работает, т.к. там орудуют только местные тук тукеры. Если хотите сэкономить на трансфере, лучше отойти куда то от вокзала и заказать машину через приложение в 3 раза дешевле, либо связаться с отелем, чтобы вас встретили на тук туке.
The setting was lovely, the staff were friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them. When we arrived after walking all day the pool was amazing to relax in as it was heated.
The dining and breakfast was great. One of the nicest places I’ve stayed at in Sri Lanka.

As with other reviewers we loved the peaceful location to sit and enjoy the wonderful views and bird wach. Location of property was great for us to trek stages 1 and 2 of the Pekoe Trail. We were well looked after by Sathees and the other staff who prepared us excellent freshly prepared food.

We had the pleasure of staying at this gorgeous villa in Galaha. The tranquility and serenity of this beautiful villa is something we have never experienced before. The connection you feel with nature is unbelievable. The beauty of the trees, plants and flowers, the birds singing truly moved us each time we sat down to enjoy the lovely surrounds. The villa itself has been very thoughtfully and tastefully designed & furnished, with every room and space telling its own story. We had the most comfortable and peaceful sleep in our king sized bed, clearly no expense was spared on the linen, it was so clean and crisp! We had all 3 meals prepared for us, each meal bringing a different level of excitement to the beautiful home cooked traditional Sri Lankan meals. The prawn curry was the best I have ever had, my tastebuds are tingling just thinking about it. Even thought the temperature was cool we still managed a dip in the heated pool, so refreshing! And last but not least, the beautiful staff. My goodness! They went out of their way to make sure our stay was comfortable and memorable. Nothing was a problem for them, we got waited on hand and foot! Thank you Sateesh for leading the team with your professional and helpful attitude. Smiling from morning until bedtime at night. We will never forget this heartfelt service. We loved Tranquilisle, this weekend away made us the most beautiful memories. Thank you 🙏🏾

I visited there with my family and from the moment I entered all I felt was the serenity of the whole concept and relaxation comes from the nature which I’m unable to express in words. Staff members were friendly and very hospitable, and specifically the caretaker Sathees was really helpful with needs we had with our 3 years and 3 months old two kids. The elderly chef made the best food and I had the best “ Kiri kos” & “Crab” curries in my life there. Real authentic food and I believe that person needs to run an apprentice program to teach his craft to the kids. I would just visit again to taste his food for sure. Room was large and luxurious, plunge pool and the jacuzzi played a big role to keep the kid and wife entertained while I had my blank relaxation on the outside hammock looking through the trees. As a professional hotelier, I experienced what I always believe we need to provide customers- “ Good memories” Finally need to appreciate the warmth extended by Mr. Balasooriya for taking care of us in every aspect and paying attention to make a great experience during our stay.

We stayed there to hike the first three stages of the Pekoe Trail. I had seen pictures of our room which looked great, but in person, it’s even better! Comfortable, clean, cosy and chic. Tastefully done. And talking about taste, the chef is amazing. I come from a family of Sri Lankan chefs that cater for events - and our house is known for flavour. The chef here does top notch Sri Lankan dishes! Highly recommend. This place has set the standard for the rest of our stays along the trail, and we are struggling to find something as good for this price! Enjoy! Oh, and it’s a set in delightful private nature. Great for friends and families to chill and relax.

Lovely villa to relax, unwind and connect with nature. This place is surrounded by greenery and beautiful views everywhere you look. Our room and open spaces were super clean, classy, comfy and just perfect! Staff were friendly and helpful. Heated plunge pool is definitely a bonus when it’s cold. Food was so yummy (we had Sri Lankan cuisine mostly). On one night we did Bon fire and barbecue dinner which was awesome too. There’s a river stream like 5mins walk away (highly recommend it, it’s lovely place to chill). Also if air rifling is your thing, it’s available so you can ask the management. I loved all of it so I’m surely coming back again for more :)

Beyond expectations - full immersion with nature
Staying at Tranquilisle went far beyond our expectations on all imaginable parameters. The location is fantastic, some 30 min from Kandy, with beautiful nature embracing you from all sides - and perfectly placed in between stage 1 and 2 of the new and highly recommendable Pekoe Trail. The superb accommodation was exceptionally well thought, designed and build with attention to aesthetics, functionality and simplicity - enforcing the experience of full immersion with the surrounding nature, but with all the luxury one desires. Breakfast, lunch and dinner was very well and timely prepared and based on local produce and recipes - however modified to allow all regardless of age and tastebuds to get their bellies full. Last but not not least the host and his team went far beyond what one can expect of friendly, warm and helpful hospitality and service. Our entire family immediately fell in love with Tranquilisle and didn’t want to leave again. We will come back for sure!
